Various Printing & Branding Methods
We take a lot of care in printing, engraving or embroidering your logo or
message on our range of Clothing & Promotional Products.
To brand your gear properly we have to have the correct form of electronic art.
Vectorised Artwork
COREL V14 (.cdr or saved as .ai or .eps within Corel), ILLUSTARTOR CS2 (.ai or .eps)
These are the ideal files for the correct printing and reproduction of your logo
on promotional products.
These files allow us to accurately manipulate logos and the elements which they
are comprised of to resize without any loss of quality, detail or accuracy,
ensuring the best possible reproduction of your logo. The result is the best
possible print job for your order.
JPEG(.jpg) Files
JPG files are OK for embroidery only. The need to be redrawn for printing and
engraving.
A high res .jpg file can also be used for printing digital or offset printing
jobs, though it is not a preferred file type for most logo reproduction.
PDF Files
.pdf files are becoming very commonly used via email. Most of the time they are
not saved into the correct format for editing by Corel or Illustrator thus it
may incur a redraw charge.
Doc Files and Text Files
Glossary : ALL OF THESE PRINTING METHODS ARE DONE ON SITE AT ESP PROMOTIONS.
Embroidery
A multi colour machine stitches up to 12 colours onto items such as shirts, hats
and bags. The most recognisable way to show a multicolour logo on an item. It
will last as long as the item does.
Screen Printing
A traditional method to print T shirts and Polo's, bags and many other items, It
is printed 1 colour at a time thru a mesh screen of various thicknesses pending
the material being printed. The more colours needed to be printed, the more time
it takes hence it costs more per colour. The ink is set off by running ther
garment thru a heat tunnel to sert the ink of so it does not run.
Laser Engraving
A laser beam rasters your logo onto various surfaces (mainly metal) to give a
permanent result. Ideal for Metal pens, glassware, metal promotional items and
trophys.
Digital Transfers
A full colour digital transfer can be applied to various substrates via a 4 step
heat transfer process, great for small runs of full colour work.
Offset Printing
Like traditional printing systems used to print high volume paper outputs this
system of printing promotional products involves the transfer of ink from a
metal printing plate to a rubber-covered cylinder and is generally used on more
complex artwork of high volume production runs for items such as business cards,
letterheads ect...
Heat Press
Vynil applications of items like putting the name and numbers of your favourite
player on the backs of playing jerseys.
Pad Printing
A soft pad surface is covered with an appropriate fast drying and tough ink. The
plate is wiped clean by a squeegey mechanism, leaving ink behind only on the
recessed areas of the pads. A silicone pad is then pressed against the pad
printing plate, drawing the ink out of the pad recess and pressing it directly
onto the promotional product
Sublimation
Sublimation of promotional products involves a dye transfer system where the
image is permanently embedded into the texture of the promotional material
surface. Primarily these products are used for promotional mouse pads, mugs,
flags, name badges, glassware, bar mats, ect...
Sublimation Flock
A special material that we can do full colour sublimation onto to produce the
feel of fabric flock in full colour.
Hot Stamping
Your design or logo is set on a metal die or plate and it is heated and pressed
onto the surface of the promotional item to achieve a recessed branding finish.
